OUR PROJECTS
PEEPAL PROJECT
Initiated under support of Bandobasta, Trees for Cities and Nepal Tourism Board Pokhara, the Peepal project is an initiation of MECT volunteers as a means of climate change adaptation, by promoting Peepal (Ficus Religiosa) which is regarded as most efficient plant to capture CO2 and release Oxygen. The project has, so far, sustainably planted more than 4000 peepal trees in 7 districts of Nepal.
